Witset First Nation Youth Healing Lodge

Project overview

The Witset First Nation Youth Healing Lodge is a culturally grounded facility designed to support youth wellness, healing, and community programming within the Witset First Nation community. The project integrates therapeutic spaces, gathering areas, and support functions to provide a safe and restorative environment rooted in Indigenous values and land-based healing principles.

My Role

Contributed to the design development and coordination of the Witset First Nation Youth Healing Lodge, supporting the translation of program requirements into a culturally responsive architectural design.

Assisted with multidisciplinary consultant coordination, drawing development, and technical detailing, ensuring alignment between architectural intent, building systems, and project requirements. Participated in design reviews and client/stakeholder coordination meetings with the Witset First Nation to support refinement of the design approach and integration of healing-focused spatial concepts.

Supported documentation and coordination efforts through design development and construction documentation phases, contributing to quality control and consistency across deliverables.
